Forgotten Talent

Growing up I was usually found playing with cars, Legos, or drawing. I spent a lot of time sketching cars and houses, it was my favorite past time. Then I started playing video games and slowly I stopped drawing. I’m not blaming it on video games, but that’s what I spent my time doing. Other friends were better than me at drawing more realistic images so I lost my motivation. I’ve never been able to just sit down and draw something, I need motivation and passion for the subject matter.

Last night, while smoking alone, I decide it was time to find some local smoking friends, and what better place than a Pipe Club. Now I did a little research and found that there isn’t one. Sure there is a small group of pipe/cigar smokers that smoke at the shop but no set meetings. So I decided to start one.

I set out to draw a simple logo, something to catch the eye of passerby’s. I want to have a few posters made up and get the word spread. So this what I created.

This really motivates me to pick up the pencil more often.

Can you take me serious?

So tomorrow I will have been growing my mustache for one full month. Let me start by saying that it is awkward. It is getting long but has a mind it’s own. It sticks straight out instead of laying down, and I’ll admit, looks kinda goofy. I have been told by many that it is awesome and to keep it, but there is an equal number of people on the other side of the fence that poke fun and say things like, “It’s hard to take you serious with that stache.”.

So I had come to a crossroads. Give up on what I’ve started or stand fast and finish the adventure. I was lathered up to remove it when a fellow pipe smoker persuaded me other wise.

Sing it loud

I opened up my cd case in my car the other day and reached for an old favorite. I listened to the cd from beginning to end, as loud as I could, and signing every word. So I decided to compile a list of songs, that no matter the occasion, must be cranked and jammed. Understand that most of you will not like some of the songs on this playlist, but that’s the beauty of it. We all have a playlist, it would be awesome to listen to yours. I could have listed 50 more songs but I tried to limit the amount of songs from each artist to my absolute favorites. There are two or three CDs I could listen to from beginning to end.

I placed an * beside the name of all of he “harder” metal songs so if you choose to skip them you can. I also tried to find videos that included lyrics as well. I hope you enjoy, be warned there are a few guilty pleasure bands in here.
